YouTuber Madhumitha Booked Over Gold Chain Theft and Threat Allegations

Police have registered a case against YouTuber Madhumitha based on a complaint filed by 89-year-old building contractor Pecchimuthu from KTC Nagar in Tirunelveli district. According to the complaint, Pecchimuthu knew Madhumitha, who is from Nagercoil, and travelled with her in a vehicle in 2022. After dropping her at a bus stop and returning home, he allegedly noticed that a five-sovereign gold chain he had been wearing was missing.

Pecchimuthu reportedly contacted Madhumitha and questioned her about the missing chain. He alleged that she threatened to humiliate him if he approached the police. Following the complaint, Rajakkamangalam police registered a case against her. The incident has also drawn attention because a large quantity of gold jewellery was reportedly stolen from Madhumitha’s residence two weeks ago. Income Tax officials have also recently conducted an inquiry related to her.
