Former Minister and BRS Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao strongly criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s remarks describing the Tungabhadra Dam gate restoration event as a “golden chapter.” He questioned what concrete assurances Telangana had received regarding its rightful share of Krishna river waters, particularly the 15.90 TMC allocation under the Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS).
Harish Rao alleged that key issues affecting Telangana’s water rights remain unresolved despite the meeting. He raised concerns over RDS canal repairs, water diversions, interstate projects, and the state’s share in Krishna waters. According to him, celebrating the event without securing clear commitments from Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka does not benefit Telangana and fails to address long-pending water disputes.
