Security observers believe terror-related activity is once again increasing in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir following Operation Sindoor. Lashkar-e-Taiba senior leader Hafiz Talha Saeed recently met former PoK Prime Minister and All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference President Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan at his residence. Reports suggest the discussion focused on the Kashmir issue, regional political developments and the upcoming elections in PoK.
According to security sources, Lashkar-e-Taiba is attempting to rebuild its operational and recruitment network in the region through madrassas and affiliated organisations. The developments come after several terror-linked locations connected to the outfit were targeted during Operation Sindoor. Analysts say the recent movements indicate renewed efforts by the group to strengthen its influence and presence in PoK.
