Telangana Youth Shine at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026

Telangana youth have made their mark at the WorldSkills Competition Shanghai 2026. Mehrunissa Begum won a Silver Medal in Logistics and Freight Forwarding, while Yashwanth Chary Keshoju received a Medal for Excellence in Cabinetmaking. India finished 10th in the global competition with six Silver Medals and 20 Medals for Excellence.

The Indian contingent comprised 70 competitors competing across 63 skill categories at the Shanghai event. India improved from its 13th-place finish at WorldSkills Lyon 2024. The achievements of the Telangana participants highlight the state's presence in international skills competitions and the importance of advanced training, industry exposure and global-standard skill development.
