

The Telangana government will conduct a Varuna Yagam on August 10 with the objective of invoking widespread rainfall across the state. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to organize the sacred ritual, and based on the auspicious muhurtham fixed by priests, Vedic scholars, and temple astrologers of the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, the ceremony has been scheduled for Sunday, August 10.
The yajna will be held at the Vijaya Vihar premises on the banks of the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam under the supervision of the Endowments Department. Special prayers will be offered for the Krishna and Godavari rivers, reservoirs, and lakes to receive abundant inflows, ensuring a prosperous agricultural season. The Varuna Yagam will be conducted under the leadership of Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will participate in the grand Purnahuti ceremony in the evening.
