The Telugu Desam Party’s ‘Intintiki Telugu Desam – Two Years of Trust – Development and Welfare’ programme has crossed the 60-lakh household milestone. According to a party statement, TDP leaders and cadres visited 61.61 lakh households across Andhra Pradesh within 21 days. The programme was launched to mark two years of the coalition government and to explain its development and welfare initiatives to people.
On the 21st day alone, party leaders and workers interacted with around 2.60 lakh families. During the visits, they explained the benefits being received by different sections of society through government schemes and also gathered feedback from residents. The programme focuses on farmer welfare, women’s empowerment, employment opportunities for youth, welfare of the poor and development of basic infrastructure.
The party said that local issues and grievances raised by people are being brought to the attention of the concerned public representatives for resolution. TDP leaders said the programme would continue with greater momentum and wider outreach after crossing the milestone of visiting more than 60 lakh households.
