Severe Weather Hits North Andhra.. Villages, Roads and Crops Affected

The severe depression that crossed the coast has left several parts of North Andhra facing the impact of heavy rain and strong winds. The weather system affected multiple districts, with Srikakulam witnessing power disruptions in several villages. Fallen trees in different areas obstructed roads and affected transportation, while breaches in canals and streams added to the difficulties faced by local communities.

Visakhapatnam also witnessed landslides in some areas following the intense rainfall. Farmers suffered crop losses as standing maize, banana and papaya crops were damaged by the adverse weather. With the region continuing to deal with the effects of the weather system, restoration and relief measures remain important for affected communities.
