

Severe heatwave conditions continue to grip several parts of Telangana, with authorities issuing a red alert for North and South Telangana till May 26. Districts including Bhadrachalam and Khammam are experiencing the highest temperatures, intensifying concerns over public health and safety. Officials have advised people to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
Among the highest temperatures recorded, Bhadrachalam registered a scorching 45.6°C, while Khammam recorded 45.4°C. Temperatures also remained extremely high in Hanumakonda at 44.0°C, Ramagundam at 44.1°C, and Adilabad at 43.8°C. Nizamabad recorded 43.5°C, Medak 42.8°C, Nalgonda 42.5°C, and Hyderabad touched 42.4°C, highlighting the widespread impact of the ongoing heatwave across the state.
