Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that land in Goa was being illegally encroached upon and said people in the state were fed up with the BJP. Taking a dig at Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, he remarked that he was being called “Property Sawant” rather than “CM Sawant.” During his visit to Goa, Revanth Reddy participated in the ‘Goa Rakhon’ yatra. He said Rahul Gandhi could not attend the event because of protests in Delhi and that he had come to Goa as Gandhi’s representative.
Revanth Reddy accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of facilitating the removal of poor people’s votes with the involvement of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He alleged that the votes of the poor, Dalits, minorities and Adivasis were being deleted. He also accused the BJP government of exposing Goa’s youth to drug addiction and turning the state into a hub for drug peddlers. Urging voters not to trust the BJP for a third time, he said Goa needed a Congress government.
