Aleti Maheshwar Reddy has alleged that the state government has acted unfairly by issuing a notification for only 7,437 police posts despite nearly 20,000 vacancies in the police department. In an open letter addressed to Revanth Reddy on Monday, he demanded the release of a comprehensive white paper on government jobs, including details on vacancies, notifications, recruitments, and pending posts.
He further stated that nearly 30 lakh unemployed youth in the state are being misled by the government. He urged the Congress government to fulfill its promise of providing two lakh government jobs in the first year, as mentioned in its youth declaration. He also pointed out that a higher concentration of posts in Hyderabad Commissionerates is reducing opportunities for candidates from districts like Adilabad, Nirmal, Narayanpet, and Gadwal. He demanded immediate action on GO 87, withdrawal of cases against unemployed youth, and criticized delays in job notifications that are pushing many candidates beyond the age limit.
