The mango orchard at Jawahar Udyan in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, has become a major attraction. Located inside the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) campus, the garden is maintained by the organization itself. It houses around 1,800 mango trees with over 152 varieties, including rare types such as Noorjahan, Malda, Hapus, Dasheri, Kesar, and Black Gold.
However, the spotlight is currently on the rare Black Stone mango variety. Originating from France, these mangoes are dark black or purple in color, fiberless, and known for their distinct aroma. The price ranges from ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 per kilogram due to their rarity and unique taste, according to BHEL officials.
