Telangana is likely to receive rainfall for the next three days under the influence of a low pressure area over north central Madhya Pradesh and the associated monsoon trough. An yellow alert has been issued for several districts, including Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nirmal, Suryapet, Nalgonda and Mahabubabad. Gusty winds of 30–40 kmph are also likely in some areas.
Meanwhile, another low pressure area is expected to form over the north Bay of Bengal on August 13. The system is likely to bring rainfall to coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, with rain expected to continue across the regions for about a week.
