Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dismissed reports claiming that the central government is planning to impose a tax or surcharge on foreign travel. He clarified that the news report is completely false.

The clarification comes after reports linked the alleged move to rising crude oil prices and pressure on the rupee due to West Asia tensions. The Prime Minister stated on X that there is no such proposal under consideration.
