Number of Idols Increased Compared to Last Year - DGP CV Anand

Around 1.24 lakh Ganesh idols have been installed across Telangana this year, Director General of Police CV Anand said. He stated that the number was identified based on geo-tagging and information available on the official portal. The DGP clarified that the figures include only Ganesh idols installed in public places. According to him, the number has increased by around 8,000 compared with last year.

CV Anand said immersion activities have been continuing across the state during the 10-day Ganesh festival. So far, around 88,000 Ganesh idols have been immersed, he said. The remaining immersion activities are also progressing across Telangana, the DGP added.
