Latest Policy Changes in B.Ed Course

As part of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has approved the reintroduction of the one-year B.Ed course across India from the academic year 2026–27. The move aims to streamline and accelerate teacher education training.

Candidates who have completed a postgraduate degree or a four-year undergraduate program will be eligible for the one-year B.Ed course. Meanwhile, the existing two-year B.Ed program will continue for candidates who have completed a three-year undergraduate degree.
