The Telangana government will release the Kharif Rythu Bharosa financial assistance to farmers today. The programme, originally scheduled to be held in Madhira, has been shifted to Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will officially launch the scheme and release the funds.
The government will extend assistance to 73.32 lakh farmers across the state in a phased manner. In the first phase, ₹2,482.02 crore will be credited to 41.37 lakh farmers owning up to 2 acres of land. As in the previous Kharif season, assistance will later be extended by increasing the eligible landholding by one acre in each phase. Arrangements have also been made for farmers to watch the event online at Rythu Vedikas.
