

Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha is closely monitoring the search operation for the fishermen reported missing off the Visakhapatnam coast. She spoke over the phone with Ministers Atchannaidu and Kondapalli Srinivas to review the ongoing rescue efforts. The Home Minister has also been holding continuous discussions with local MLA Lokam Madhavi, the District Collector, DIG, Commissioner of Police, and Fisheries Department officials to assess the situation and coordinate relief measures.
Anitha directed officials to intensify the search operation by deploying a Navy helicopter and marine rescue boats. She instructed the Fisheries Department to provide immediate assistance to the affected fishermen and extend full support to their families. The Home Minister also interacted with the families of the missing fishermen through a video call, assuring them that the state government is making every possible effort to bring the missing fishermen back safely and stands firmly with the fishing community during this difficult time.
