Heavy rains have led to a significant decline in the number of pilgrims visiting the Kedarnath Temple. While thousands of devotees continue to visit the holy shrine, the daily footfall has dropped sharply due to adverse weather conditions.
So far, over 1.4 million (14 lakh) devotees have had darshan at Kedarnath during this pilgrimage season. Earlier, nearly 6,000 pilgrims visited the temple every day, but the current daily turnout has reduced to around 1,000 to 1,500 devotees because of continuous rainfall.
