Heavy Rain Followed by Scorching Heat in Guntur

Weather conditions in Guntur have taken a sudden turn, with scorching heat following three days of heavy rainfall. The intense sunshine on Monday left people struggling with the heat, creating summer-like conditions across the district. The unusual weather pattern has been linked to the broader impact of Super El Niño, with alternating spells of heavy rain and high temperatures being observed.

The heat was particularly noticeable at the Guntur District Collectorate, where people had gathered for the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) programme. To provide relief to the applicants, officials arranged coolers at the camps and distributed buttermilk to more than 400 people. The arrangements were made as temperatures and weather conditions began resembling those typically seen during summer.
