GQG Partners has significantly reduced its investment in Adani Group companies during the June quarter by selling shares worth more than ₹12,000 crore. The investment firm offloaded stakes in Adani Enterprises and Adani Energy Solutions as part of its portfolio management strategy. Market experts believe the move reflects profit booking after a strong rally in Adani stocks rather than a shift in long-term confidence.
Despite foreign institutional investors trimming their holdings, domestic institutional investors have continued to accumulate shares in several Adani Group companies. This contrasting investment trend indicates that local investors remain optimistic about the group's long-term growth prospects, even as global funds rebalance their portfolios.
