The first arrest has been made in connection with the alleged Badrinath Temple donation misappropriation case. Pramod Nautiyal, a former official associated with the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), was taken into custody by police from the BKTC Chairman's residence in Dehradun. Following his arrest, he was shifted to Badrinath for further questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
The case came to light after authorities reportedly detected major irregularities in the counting of temple donations on July 2. Investigators are examining the handling of donations and the role of officials connected to the temple administration. The arrest marks the first major action in the case, with further investigation underway.
