Employees Should Take Interest in Sports and Arts - Minister Jupally Krishna Rao

Employees should perform their duties effectively while also taking an active interest in sports, arts and cultural activities, Telangana Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said. He attended the Secretariat Cultural Festival organised by the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat Association along with Special Chief Secretary Mahesh Datt Hekka. Speaking on the occasion, Jupally said employees often work under considerable pressure and that their physical and mental well-being is equally important.

The minister said sports, arts, literature, music and dance can provide employees with physical and mental relaxation. He noted that such programmes can help bring out the hidden artistic talents of Secretariat employees and staff. Jupally encouraged employees to go beyond files, duties and responsibilities and explore their creativity. He said participation, showcasing talent and sharing moments with colleagues were more important than winning or losing. He also called for regular cultural programmes to boost enthusiasm among employees and said a motivated workforce can contribute to better government functioning and public service delivery.
