Electric Vehicles Are the Future - CM Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said electric vehicles (EVs) represent the future and urged Hero MotoCorp to significantly expand its focus on EV production. Speaking at the foundation stone ceremony for Hero Motors' Global Parts Centre 2.0 at Madannapalem in Satyavedu, Tirupati district, alongside Executive Chairman Pawan Munjal, the Chief Minister requested the company to begin the expansion project with an investment of ₹3,200 crore at the earliest.

Chandrababu said Andhra Pradesh is implementing "Speed of Doing Business" reforms and will provide all required infrastructure and government support for industries. He added that the state has already signed agreements for 100 GW of green power generation as part of its 160 GW renewable energy target. He also noted that 40% of Hero Motors' workforce in the state comprises women and emphasized that Andhra Pradesh offers strong road, rail, port, airport connectivity and reliable industrial infrastructure for investors.
