Hyderabad is experiencing a significant increase in passenger traffic ahead of the Dasara holidays, as many residents leave the city to celebrate the festival with their families in their hometowns. Major bus terminals, including the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) and Jubilee Bus Station (JBS), are witnessing heavy crowds. Railway stations at Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Nampally are also seeing a surge in passengers, with people travelling to different destinations across the region.
The rush is particularly noticeable on routes connecting Hyderabad with various destinations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. To accommodate the additional demand and ease congestion, transport authorities are arranging special buses and trains. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys in advance, check service schedules and allow extra time to reach terminals and stations during the holiday rush.
