Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has continued its commitment towards preserving the rich biodiversity of Tirumala, achieving an impressive 89.40 percent green cover across the sacred hills. Through sustained conservation initiatives, TTD has been actively protecting forest wealth and restoring native plant species in the ecologically significant Seshachalam Hills. The efforts are being widely appreciated as a major step towards maintaining environmental balance in the Tirumala region.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated TTD for achieving the remarkable forest cover milestone. In a social media post, the Chief Minister stated that Indian traditions regard nature as sacred and emphasized that protecting forests and wildlife is equivalent to serving the divine. He appreciated TTD’s continuous efforts and expressed confidence that these conservation measures would help preserve a greener, healthier, and environmentally sustainable Tirumala for future generations.
