Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has expressed strong criticism against the Telangana Congress government, alleging negligence over ₹10,000 crore green energy investments in the state. Speaking at the “RENERGYNE-2026” conference held in Hyderabad, he emphasized that India is moving forward with a strong multi-dimensional strategy to achieve self-reliance in the energy sector. He also highlighted that the central government is focusing on strengthening the country’s clean energy ecosystem to meet rising electricity demands and ensure sustainable development.
The minister noted that global energy security has become a major concern due to ongoing geopolitical tensions, especially in West Asia. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for having anticipated these challenges years ago and initiating a clean energy revolution in India. He said renewable energy has now become a mass movement in the country, driven by both policy support and public participation, helping India balance economic growth with environmental protection.
