

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar’s security has been further strengthened amid ongoing protests over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Additional security personnel have been deployed at his residences in Delhi and Agra, as well as at the Election Commission headquarters. His personal security cover has also been enhanced in view of the prevailing situation.
Security officials are understood to have reassessed the threat perception after protesters reportedly gathered near his Delhi residence. The CEC continues to have Z+ security cover, while additional arrangements have now been made in view of recent developments. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have stepped up security measures around key locations.
