Bharat Bhushan Holds Talks with Telugu TV Industry

APFDC Chairman P. Bharat Bhushan held discussions with representatives of the 24 crafts of the Telugu television industry on various issues concerning the sector. APFDC members Burra Sai Madhav and Meer, TV & OTT South President Prasad Rao, TV Federation President Nani, Telugu Film Producers Council Secretary Thummala Prasanna Kumar and other industry representatives attended the meeting. Bharat Bhushan said the long pending Nandi Awards would be revived, with awards for earlier years to be presented as per the government’s approved schedule.

He urged the television industry to increase shoots and programmes in Andhra Pradesh and assured representatives that their concerns would be discussed with the government. Industry representatives sought government support, land for studios and shooting facilities, opportunities for local artistes and technicians, health insurance and possible pension benefits, along with shooting subsidies. Bharat Bhushan said committees would be formed to examine these issues and appropriate decisions would be taken after detailed discussions.
