Bank Strike: Central Govt Employees to Get Salary Early!

The upcoming bank strike has prompted the Central Government to make an advance payment arrangement for its employees and pensioners. With bank employees scheduled to go on strike from September 28 to 30, the government has permitted September salaries and pension payments for central government employees and pensioners to be credited on September 25.

The arrangement will also apply to employees and pensioners associated with the defence, postal and telecommunications departments. The September payment made on September 25 will be treated as an advance payment. Once the final calculations are completed, any remaining amount will be adjusted in the October payment. The move is aimed at ensuring that central government employees and pensioners receive their regular monthly payments before the scheduled bank strike.
