

The Telangana Tourism Department organised Atukula Bathukamma celebrations at Lalitha Kala Thoranam in Hyderabad on October 11, 2026. The event was held in a festive atmosphere, highlighting Bathukamma’s significance as a symbol of Telangana’s cultural heritage and floral traditions. The celebrations showcased the festival’s connection with women’s empowerment and the bond between people and nature.
Several cultural performances added to the festive spirit. A captivating Kuchipudi dance recital showcased the elegance of Indian classical dance, while traditional Dappu performances brought energy to the celebrations. The event provided a platform to promote Telangana’s local traditions, folk arts and classical dance forms. The Tourism Department aims to preserve the state’s intangible cultural heritage and introduce its distinctive festivals to a wider audience, including tourists.
