AP Government Announces Incentives for Larger Families

The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced a new incentive scheme aimed at encouraging larger families while creating awareness about maternal and child health. Under the initiative, couples with three or more children will receive a cash incentive of ₹5,000. In addition, three eligible couples from each district will be selected for a special cash award of ₹5,000.

The government has also announced a ₹5,000 incentive for couples who maintain a minimum two-year gap between childbirths to promote better maternal and child healthcare practices. To support the awareness drive, ₹56 lakh has been sanctioned for statewide publicity and outreach programmes, which will be conducted from July 11 to July 18.
