AP DSC 2026 Notification Update

Andhra Pradesh is preparing for another District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment drive, with the 2026 notification scheduled for October 15 as part of the state’s recruitment calendar. According to reports, the School Education Department has collected details of teacher vacancies and prepared preliminary proposals. More than 2,500 teacher posts are expected to be included, with around 2,250 vacancies in government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad and municipal schools. Another set of vacancies is expected in social welfare, BC welfare, tribal residential, AP residential, disabled welfare and model schools. The final number of posts is expected to be confirmed in the official notification.

The recruitment plan also includes vacancies to be filled through APPSC, including DIET and SCERT lecturer posts, junior lecturers and librarians. Reports indicate that the state is working on an annual DSC recruitment plan through 2029, with vacancy lists being prepared in advance. The broader recruitment calendar places the School Education recruitment in the October 15 phase. Candidates will have to wait for the official DSC notification for the final vacancy breakup, eligibility criteria, application dates and examination schedule.
