

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu congratulated the state’s sportspersons who brought laurels to Andhra Pradesh with their performances at the 2026 Asian Games. The medal winners met the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat. Naidu appreciated their achievements on the international stage and wished them greater success in the coming years.
The athletes who met the Chief Minister included Sri Charani, Ganesh Mani Ratnam, Dheeraj Bommadevara and Vennam Jyothi Surekha. SAAP MD Bharani informed Naidu that athletes from Andhra Pradesh won a total of eight medals across three sporting disciplines, including three gold, two silver and three bronze medals. The Chief Minister assured that the government would provide full encouragement and the necessary infrastructure to help more athletes from the state succeed at international competitions.
