₹3,000 Crore Drug Haul Busted in Arabian Sea..

The Indian Coast Guard (ICG), in coordination with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), has intercepted a suspected Iranian dhow in the Arabian Sea and seized approximately 526 kg of high-grade narcotics, including heroin and methamphetamine. The drugs are estimated to be worth more than ₹3,000 crore in the international illicit market. Five Pakistani nationals operating the vessel were also apprehended during the operation.

The operation was carried out on September 25, west of Lakshadweep, following intelligence inputs and coordinated sea-and-air surveillance. The vessel, its crew and the seized contraband were later escorted to Mumbai for joint interrogation and further legal proceedings. Investigating agencies are probing the wider international network and the intended destination of the consignment.
