

Flipkart Minutes, the quick commerce service of Flipkart, has achieved the milestone of establishing 1,000 micro fulfillment centers across India within two years of its launch. Introduced in August 2024, the service has expanded to more than 130 cities and over 8,000 pin codes. The company stated that order volumes have increased fivefold compared to last year due to rapid network expansion.
The service has witnessed strong growth, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities such as Ambala, Arrah, Bokaro, Darbhanga, Jorhat, Ongole, Purnia, Saharsa, and Tenali. Flipkart said business in these regions has grown 42 times compared to the previous year. More than 90 new cities were added to the network during the last year alone.
According to the company, Gen-Z consumers now account for more than 40 percent of the customer base. Apart from groceries, customers are increasingly ordering electronics, beauty, wellness, and lifestyle products. The average order value in fruits and vegetables increased by 30 percent, while repeat purchases rose by over 20 percent. Flipkart Minutes currently serves more than 250 product categories and partners with over 500 direct to consumer brands while connecting more than 3,000 farmers through its Samarth Krishi initiative.
