Tesla has grabbed attention with a demonstration featuring its new Roadster, a car associated with Elon Musk’s company. The showcase reportedly took place on October 15 at SpaceX’s facility in McGregor, Texas. The vehicle drove up a specially designed ramp, travelled upside down briefly and appeared to leap into the air before landing safely. Videos of the demonstration are now circulating on social media, sparking discussions about the future of flying cars.
The demonstration is said to have involved cold-gas thrusters developed by SpaceX, which release pressurised gas to generate thrust using a principle similar to that used in rockets. Elon Musk shared the video on X, commenting that flying cars would indeed exist in the future. However, the stunt does not mean the Roadster can fly like an aircraft or travel freely through the air. Such demonstrations take place under specially arranged conditions, and safety standards, technical testing and government approvals would be essential before similar vehicles could be used on public roads.
