Digital insurance company Juno General Insurance plans to strengthen its focus on the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets. The company’s Chief Distribution Officer Jackson Jacob and Chief Product Officer Pooja Yadav said Juno recorded 39% premium growth across the two Telugu states during the first half of the current financial year.
Motor insurance currently accounts for a significant share of Juno’s business in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while the company is gradually increasing its focus on health insurance. Jackson Jacob said the company plans to make the two states key markets in the coming days and expand its operations by partnering with distribution partners and motor companies.
Pooja Yadav said Juno determines insurance premiums using its mobile telematics programme available through the company’s app. The programme analyses real-time driving behaviour and fuel-efficiency data, helping the insurer assess driving patterns while determining premiums.
