

Honda Cars India has launched the updated version of its popular sedan Honda City on Friday. The 2026 City facelift is priced between ₹12 lakh and ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned in the mid-size sedan segment, the car will compete with Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus. It comes equipped with a larger infotainment screen, premium lighting, enhanced cabin theme, collision mitigation braking system, automatic headlights, adaptive cruise control, and lane watch technology. Additional features include a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, and six airbags. The model is available in six color options, including a new black shade.
The company also revealed its future plans for the Indian market, aiming to introduce 10 new models by 2030. According to CEO Takuya Nakajima, the lineup will include an electric vehicle and a compact SUV. He made this announcement during the showcase of the premium SUV Honda ZR-V. Honda is also preparing to launch its first full-scale electric car in India in the second half of the current financial year. Along with the City Hybrid and ZR-V Hybrid, the company plans to introduce a total of six new models this fiscal year.
