

After declining for the past few days, gold prices have started rising again, bringing disappointment to buyers planning purchases ahead of the upcoming Dussehra and Diwali festivals. On October 9, 2026, the price of 24-carat gold increased by ₹114 per gram across the country. In major Telugu cities, including Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad, Khammam, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Kadapa, 24-carat gold is priced at ₹15,071 per gram, while 22-carat gold costs ₹13,815 per gram.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged on Friday, October 9, 2026. In major cities across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including Hyderabad, Warangal, Nizamabad, Khammam, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Kadapa, silver is priced at ₹2,45,000 per kilogram, or approximately ₹245 per gram. Consumers planning to buy gold or silver jewellery for the festive season are advised to check the latest local prices before making a purchase.
