India-based AI startup Sarvam AI has partnered with Finland’s HDM Global to bring AI powered chat capabilities to Nokia feature phones, enabling users to access conversational AI without needing a smartphone or computer. The announcement was made at AI Impact Summit 2026 held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The integration will allow real time conversations with an AI assistant and is expected to support multiple regional languages, making AI accessible to a wider population.
Beyond feature phones, Sarvam plans to expand its AI ecosystem to vehicles, infotainment systems, and next generation wearable devices, aiming to embed on-device AI across everyday technology. The company also showcased upcoming AI enabled smart glasses designed to let users interact with the assistant and receive contextual information about their surroundings, signaling its push toward building AI-first devices across platforms.
