Tata Communications and TMPV Partner to Accelerate Software-Defined Vehicles

Tata Communications and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of software-defined vehicles (SDVs) in India. As part of the collaboration, the upcoming Tata Sierra EV SUV will be equipped with built-in 5G cellular connectivity, marking a step forward in connected vehicle technology.

Tata Communications’ MOVE connected vehicle platform will be integrated with TMPV’s SDV platform, NIO, for the Sierra EV. The integration is expected to provide uninterrupted in-vehicle connectivity and enable digital features such as content streaming and real-time remote vehicle diagnostics, enhancing the connected driving experience.
