Anthropic is reportedly developing a new feature called “Claude Tasks” for its Claude mobile application, aimed at bringing AI-driven automation to smartphones. The feature, discovered in a recent iOS build, appears to extend the capabilities of Claude Cowork the company’s desktop automation tool allowing users to create repeatable actions using a single prompt.
Reports suggest the feature includes a dedicated Tasks section within the app, with naming and design elements similar to Claude Cowork. Early indications show it may enable lightweight automation, including possible browser-based actions, helping users automate routine workflows directly from their mobile devices without relying on a desktop environment.
While the feature is currently spotted only on iOS, it may expand to other platforms in the future, potentially enabling cross-device and cross-platform automation. However, Anthropic has not officially announced Claude Tasks, and the details remain speculative until a formal release is confirmed.
