Tech sector layoffs continue to shake the global employment market. Microsoft-owned professional networking platform LinkedIn is preparing to lay off nearly 5% of its workforce as part of an organizational restructuring plan. More than 17,500 employees currently work at LinkedIn across the world.
Meanwhile, Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, is also expected to cut around 16,000 jobs in the coming months. In the first phase, nearly 8,000 employees are likely to be laid off starting from the 20th of this month. Reports indicate that more than 103,000 tech employees worldwide have lost their jobs so far this year.
