Apple Inc. has announced that it will open its second retail outlet in Mumbai on February 26, further strengthening its physical retail presence in India. The new store, Apple Borivali, will be located at Sky City Mall and will begin welcoming customers from 1 PM IST. The outlet will offer product sales, in-store pickup, Genius Bar support services, and interactive “Today at Apple” learning sessions.
The company began its India retail journey with Apple BKC at Jio World Drive in 2023, followed by additional locations including Apple Noida at DLF Mall of India. With this latest launch, Apple will operate six physical stores nationwide, reflecting the brand’s growing focus on direct engagement with Indian consumers through experiential retail and personalised services.
Apple CEO Tim Cook has already indicated plans for further expansion after the company reported strong quarterly revenues. Reports suggest the firm is preparing to establish a presence in Hyderabad, while also planning a major corporate facility in Chennai at DLF CyberCity Porur. The proposed Global Capability Centre signals Apple’s intent to deepen its operational footprint in India beyond manufacturing and retail.
