Paytm, India’s leading full-stack payments platform, has rolled out a revamped mobile app featuring a cleaner interface and AI-powered tools designed to enhance user experience. The company says the new update makes the app lighter, faster, and more intuitive, offering a smoother way to handle payments and manage finances.
One of the key additions is the Monthly Spend Summary, which automatically categorises expenses under headings like shopping, travel, or utilities—helping users understand their spending habits at a glance.
The redesigned interface brings a “Total Balance” dashboard, allowing users to view all their linked bank accounts in one place, without switching screens.
AI also powers the new Payment Search feature, enabling users to find past transactions by name, amount, payment type, or notes. The Payment Location feature shows where a transaction took place.
A new “Magic Paste” function lets users copy payment details from texts or WhatsApp and auto-fill them in the app. Additionally, a “Receive Money” widget can now be added directly to the home screen for instant QR access.
Paytm also launched a “Gold Coins” reward program, where each payment earns digital coins convertible into digital gold.
For international users, Paytm has expanded support for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) across 12 countries, allowing them to make payments in India through NRE/NRO accounts without forex charges.
Finally, Paytm introduced “Paytm Playback”, an entertaining AI feature that turns your recent expenses into a personalised rap song—making payments not just smart, but fun!
