New Year shock for mobile users…

Mobile telecom service charges are expected to increase further in the New Year. Vodafone Idea and Airtel have already raised the prices of their prepaid plans. Vodafone Idea increased the one-year prepaid plan from ₹1,999 by 12% and 84-day plans by 7 percent. Airtel also raised the ₹189 prepaid plan by ₹10. The government-owned BSNL, however, did not increase prices but reduced the validity of its plans. Reliance Jio is expected to impose additional charges starting from the beginning of next year.
