Popular messaging app WhatsApp has introduced a new feature in its web version. Users can now make voice and video calls directly from their web browser without the need for any additional software downloads. With this feature, a call button is now visible within individual chat windows. Currently, this functionality is available to a limited number of users.
Previously, making audio or video calls on WhatsApp required the mobile app. Laptop or desktop users had to download the WhatsApp Windows or Mac application. Now, this convenience is directly available on WhatsApp Web.
Users can make calls directly from the web without downloading any app. While the feature is currently rolled out to a limited user base, it is expected to be available to all users soon. As with Android and iOS apps, calls made via WhatsApp Web are protected with end-to-end encryption, ensuring complete privacy and security.
