New milestone in India’s semiconductor sector

Hyderabad-based Cyient Semiconductors has made a major breakthrough in India’s domestic semiconductor sector by launching Gallium Nitride (GaN) power ICs in collaboration with global technology leader Navitas Semiconductors. These are the first commercially available GaN power IC products in India, designed specifically for the Indian market.

The company has introduced seven advanced 650V devices aimed at high-growth sectors such as edge AI, e-mobility, AI data centers, telecommunications, fast charging, and industrial power systems. The products are expected to be available from June. Cyient Semiconductors CEO Suman Narayan and Navitas CEO Chris Allexandre stated that India is a key strategic market in Navitas’ 2.0 growth plan.
