Samsung is set to integrate Google Photos into its AI-powered smart TVs starting in early 2026. The company announced that it will be the first TV brand to introduce the “Memories” feature, which will remain exclusive to Samsung TVs for the first six months after launch. This feature will allow users to view curated photo stories based on people, places, and special moments directly on their television screens.
With this update, Samsung AI TV users will be able to explore and relive their photo memories on the big screen. The feature will also be linked with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, which can intelligently surface relevant memories throughout the day. The rollout is expected around March 2026. Later in 2026, Samsung plans to introduce two more Google Photos features. “Create with AI” will offer themed templates using Nano Banana, along with Remix tools to change art styles or convert images into short animated videos. Another feature, “Personalised Results,” will enable users to view topic-based photo slideshows, such as a collection of hiking photos.
These Google Photos features will come preloaded on Samsung’s AI TVs launching in 2026, while existing compatible models will receive them via over - the - air updates. Users will need to be signed in to their Google account with the Memories feature enabled to access these functions.
