The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has introduced a new Aadhaar app with improved features for user convenience and data safety. This new version allows users to access Aadhaar information easily without the need to store it permanently on their phones. Instead, they can simply log in using secure credentials whenever needed, ensuring enhanced privacy and safety.
Users can now download or share their Aadhaar details directly from the app in a few simple steps. The updated app also makes it possible to check where and how Aadhaar has been used recently. This transparency feature aims to strengthen user trust and provide control over personal data.
Additionally, the new Aadhaar app includes offline verification options, allowing users to verify identity without an active internet connection. The Face Authentication feature has also been improved for seamless verification. UIDAI has stated that the app is available on both Android and iOS platforms for download.
